District Cross Country Finals
The club had 7 junior athletes find success at West Hatch in the District Cross Country Finals on Friday.
Bronya Overington, running for Staples Road Primary School, had a great race in the year 5 Girls race, running an even 1500m: here she is (right) in the home straight finishing 8th.
Jimmy Geller and Luca Gormley, good friends, were inseparable 
in the Year 5 Boys until the home straight (below) where Jimmy kicked for 1st. Both were running for St John Fisher in an amazing 1-2-3-4 placing for their school and they will find themselves at the county finals again.
In the Year 5 Girls race Keira Hearn, a sprinter, ran really well for 6th. In the Year 6 Girls race Shona Vincent, another sprinter, was 6th - another exceptional performance. Behind Shona, Sydney Jay was 17th. All these three girls attend Epping primary schools.
Jacob Hardy, also at St John Fisher, ran well in the Year 6 race. He is seen here (below) in the final sprint holding his 4th place.
