Cindy Ofili just missed a medal place in the final of the women's 100mH last evening. Cindy had qualified for the final by finishing 2nd in her semi-final in 12.71 secs (+0.8), amd was the 6th fastes qualifier. Sister Tiffany Porter qualified for the final as a fastest loser, placing 4th in her semi with 12.82 secs (+0.2). In the final Cindy held third place over the final barrier but just lost out by 0.02 secs over the run-in as she finished 4th with a season's best of 12.63 secs (0.0). Tiffany who was 5th in last year's World Championships and who won bronze in this year's World Indoor Championships over 60mH placed 7th in the final with 12.76 secs (0.0)
Earlier in the day Mark Dry recorded 70.83m in the hammer qualifying competition but did not progress to the final
