There have been many good performances by Woodford athletes over the last week, including in the US where there was a personal best for Hollie Pattie-Belleli, as well as good performances from Sam Watts and Cindi Ofili. There also good marks at BMC meetings as well as many athletes being involved in the Essex Championships.

Hollie Pattie-Belleli's personal best came in Missouri at the Valley Conference Championships, and after winning her 100mH heat with a windy 13.27 secs (+3.1) she placed 2nd in the final with 13.36 secs (+0.9). In the same meeting Hollie placed 4th in the LJ with 5.67m (+1.2) and recorded 24.40 secs w (+2.6). Hollie's 100mH mark moved her to 4th on this year's UK rankings, currently headed by Woodford's Cindi Ofili, from her sister Tiffany Porter. Cindi also raced over the weekend, at the Big 10 Conference Championships and won over 100mH with 12.91 secs (-0.5) after a heat of 13.00 secs (+1.4). Also in the US at the Big 12 Conference in Fort Worth, Sam Watts raced over both 100m and 200m. Over 100m Sam placed 6th with 10.54 secs (+0.2) after qualifying from his heat with a windy 10.27 secs (+3.3). Over his favoured 200m Sam just lost out, placing 2nd with 20.69 secs (-0.8).

At the NE BMC meeting last week, Jon Cook raced over 800 and won with 1m49.7 secs, in the same meeting HCA member Ross Tennant recorded 1.55.6 secs. Manchester on Saturday evening saw the first BMC Grand Prix meeting as Jon Cook raced again, over 1500m, where he placed 4th with 3m43.83 secs. There was a season's best also for James Stockings who recorded 3m52.53 secs whilst Ross Tennant also raced again winning with 3m56.22 secs. Over 800m in that meeting there was a season's best for Daniel Rowden who won the B race with 1m49.49 secs.

At last weekend´s Newham sprints meeting Eugene Ayanful opened his season with runs over 100m of 10.71 secs (-2.2) and 10.65 secs (-1.4) Adrian Stamp recorded 11.19 secs (-3.1). Over 200m Jordan Kirby-Polidore recorded 21,20 secs (+0.3).

Competing in Germany Mark Dry placed 5th in the hammer with 72.61m
