Competing in the US at the NCAA Division Championships in Birmingham Alabama over the weekend, Cindi Ofili won the 60mH with a new personal best of 7.89 secs, which moves her to equal first on this year's UK rankings, together with elder sister Tiffany Porter. Cindi had a scare in qualifying, however, only scraping through as a fastest loser from the second heat. Competing at the same Championships Sam Watts placed 4th over 200m with 22.06 secs, having eased up in the latter stages with a hamstring problem. Sam, currently second on the UK rankings, had qualified from his heat with 20.85 secs.
