Indoor performances at the weekend from Woodford athletes were headed by wins at the British Championships from Tiffany Porter and Tosin Oke, and from Sam Watts and Cindy Ofili who each showed continued good form in the US.

The British Indoor Championships were held at Sheffield over the weekend and Tiffany Porter won the 60mH with 7.98 secs. Also winning, but not the British champion since he has elected to compete for Nigeria was Tosin Oke, who took just one first round effort of 16.48m to ensure victory. Back in 6th place but confirming his recently improved form was Thasalang Thsireletso with 15.44m. Others in action in Sheffield were Katie James who was 6th in the Pole Vault with 3.87m and Anthony Oshodi who was 5th in the shot with 16.12m. HCA member Moe Sasegbon was 12th in the high jump with 1.68m, and another HCA member, Chloe Bradley, recorded 2m12.30 secs in the heats of the 800m.

In the US, Tiffany Porter's sister Cindy Ofili had a busy weekend in Geneva, Ohio. Racing over 60m she placed 5th with 7.39 secs, and was also 5th over 200m with 23.76 secs, having qualified from her heat with 23.65 secs. And in her specialist event over 60mH she was just .01 secs slower than Tiffany's winning time in Sheffield as she placed 2nd with 7.99 secs. Also in the US at Ames, Indiana, Sam Watts just lost out over 200m by 0.002 secs with both athletes given the same time of 20.79 secs.
