Kyesha Robinson won gold at Lee Valley on Sunday at the Essex Indoor Championships over 300 metres for Under 15 girls. Kyesha just won her heat in 44.76, a new indoor PB, before winning a thrilling final, again just edging it from arch-rival Emily Sharpe from Orion, in a close 2nd spot. Kyesha ran 44.06, a new PB, as against 44.12 for Sharpe.

Anna Clark won silver in the Under 20 Womens 800m in a new personal best of 2 mins 14.2 seconds.

In the Under 13 boys 800m, new member Sidnie Ward jumped ahead after two laps to produce a fine victory in 2 mins 24.5 seconds to win by nine seconds. This time ranks Sidnie 2nd in the UK.

In the heats of the Under 15 Girls 300 metres, Holly Henbury ran 46.79 for 3rd whilst new member Rosie Bennett, in her first race for Woodford, ran 48.4 for 4th behind Kyesha. Molly Gardner was unfortunate to be disqualified for breaking a fraction too early, or she would also have qualified for the final.

In the Under 17 Mens 800 metres Kyle Lundie placed 4th, running 2 mins 12.2, some 4 seconds inside his best time.

At Milton Keynes in the McCain Cross Country challenge, Isabella Hoy had an excellent run to place 5th in the Under 15 Girls, less than a minute behind the winner.
