RIP Tony Maxwell

Friday 4th November: The Club is very sorry to learn of the passing today of Life Member and Past President Tony Maxwell after a short illness. Tony made immense contributions to the club over many years as an athlete, Track and Field Captain, Young Athletes Secretary, Coach and General Secretary. He was also a very keen supporter of our teams and a regular attendee of social functions. In 2008 he wrote a substantial history of the Club to mark its centenary.

Our condolences go out to his wife Carol, son Stuart, daughter Petra and their families.

A fuller appreciation of Tony’s contribution to the club will be posted in due course as will details of his funeral when these are known.
