The U/15 Boys found it slightly tough with a few niggles/injuries on the day but battled their way through. The 100m was an example of that. Evan Johnson had to step into the A string with: 15.6s and Miles Whitchelo ran 13.9s. Miles also did the high jump: 1m 25cm and discus: 10m 34cm. Kaidan Chambers, who was meant to run the 100m but fell ill, was able to run the 200m earlier with a time of 24.9s and Thomas Kok: 30.4s. In the 300m, Jimmy Geller ran 45.8s and William Kok 45.5s. Jimmy was very versatile in his events because, apart from 300m he ran his normal event of 800m in which he ran a PB of 2m 13.3s and then also PB'd in the high jump with 1m 40cm - maybe he's a multi event athlete in the making, you never know. Evan, apart from his 100m outing, ran the B string 800m: 2m 29.8s and a PB and long jump: 2m 91cm, whilst twins William and Thomas Kok ran the non-scoring 800m with in 2n 29.3s and 2m 34.5s respectively. The longest trip around the track saw Reuben Fabian record a PB in the 1500m with 4m 36.3s, and javelin: 16m 25cm, while Nathan Wright: 4m 53.1s along with Reuben in the 1500m. Thomas Kok also did the B string shot with a distance of: 5m 91cm and Thomas got a PB in the javelin with: 13m 41cm. Luke Finch exceeded all expectations. Not only did he throw 6m 64cm in the shot put, and notch 2 PBs in the discus (18m 92cm) and hammer (36m 18cm), he agreed at the last minute to help the sprint relay team. With that in mind the 4x100m team, patched up in all aspects (Luke, Nathan, Thomas & Evan) completed the race in: 60.5s. WELL DONE to that very made up team! In the last race, the 4x300m team (Jimmy, Nathan, Thomas & William) ran a time of: 3m 09.2s.
