Club Flyer

On behalf of the club, thank you all for supporting our cross country league matches. I hope that all the competitors and the many spectators (family, team mangers and friends) enjoyed the event. This is the 23rd year we have held this event and there has been continued support from all the regular attendees as well as some new schools this year, attending for the first time.

As I said at the award presentation, the club needs new volunteers and if any teacher or parent wishes to take up athletics as an official or coach, the club will gladly provide the training courses. Our web site www.wgel.org.uk has all the contact details. I am linking a flyer and if there are any young athletes who wish to take up the sport, details of our club training nights and contacts are included. We welcome people of all abilities who wish to take up the sport.

A blank certificate is also linked to this article. Can schools issue this out to all competitors who ran in the event.

We hope to run the schools cross country relay races in the spring of 2017 and will send out the details nearer the time. Should there be sufficient interest we will put on the relay races for the second year.

Once again, thank you all for your participation.

Regards,
