Hever Castle Triathlon: 24/09/17

Six of our young athletes took part in the largest young athletes' triathlon in the world.

In the Under 13 age group from 183 boys competing over: 200 metre swim, 4k bike ride and 1800 metre run, Jacob Hardy placed a brilliant 3rd in his first ever triathlon.

In the same event for Under 13 girls, and with another year in this age group, Larna Morgan was excellent as she finished 16th from 132 starters, having led the swim. Meisha Trend-Evans, another bottom Under 13 age group girl, really enjoyed her first triathlon placing an excellent 22nd after a strong swim.

From L to R: Ellen, Kai and Emily

In the Under 15 age group Kai Boggon, who has recently made the British Triathlon Academy, signed off his 2017 triathlon season with an emphatic win from 114 starters. In this age group they contest a 300 metre swim, 8k bike ride and 2.4K run.

In the same girls age group event Emily Scofield, a bottom year Under 15 at just 12, placed a superb 24th from 90 starters, having competed in all five Castle Triathlons throughout UK and France. In her first triathlon, Ellen Savidge competed brilliantly to place behind Emily in 25th.

All six of our athletes trained so hard in readiness for this event and can be proud of their achievements.
