London 2017 World Championships

Three Woodford Green athletes were in action at the London 2017 World Championships. Britain's leading women's 100m Hurdler in recent years, Tiffany Porter who had placed 3rd in these Championships in Moscow in 2013, and 5th in Beijing in 2015 endured an injury affected build up to the 2017 Championships, and on this occasion was not able to progress from her heat where she placed 6th with 13.18 secs (-0.9). Another competing in the same event and representing Nigeria was Lindsey Lindley, who qualified from her heat as a fastest loser with 13.07 secs (-0.6) into the semi-final where she placed 7th with 13.18 secs (+0.5). Also representing Nigeria was Tosin Oke where in the triple jump he recorded 16.17m (+0.5) in the qualification round, but did not progress to the final.
